My Musical journey started as soon as I was old enough to operate my father’s stereo system. My earliest memories were of Beatles albums and compilations of the top “Billboard” hits ranging from the 50’s to then present time, the late 80’s. This exposed me to many different genres and styles which would pave the way for what is hopefully a well-rounded performance set today. I got my first real guitar at age 10 and dove head first into learning my favorite rock tunes mostly by ear. Through my teens and early twenties, I continued to explore heavier, older forms of rock music, seemingly working backwards in time to discover anything I’d missed out on (or wasn’t alive for!) eventually coming full circle to what got me here in the first place, The Beatles.
Since roughly 2007, I’ve played as an electric rock trio, multiple duos, and mostly as a solo act singing and playing my favorite tunes acoustically. These days, I enjoy playing modern Americana/folk music (The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, Band of Horses), 90’s rock from when I first learned to play guitar (Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam), some southern stylings (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash, Waylon and Willie), and the classics that truly keep me grounded musically (The Beatles, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd). While these artists serve as the foundation of my live performances, I’m always working to expand my repertoire and am always happy to take requests.
